Finding the right size
General rules of thumb for scale. Whatever you have in mind, the final dimensions are confirmed against your own measurements before anything is painted.
Above a sofa
A width of roughly two-thirds the sofa works well, hung so the base sits eight to twelve inches above the back.
Above a console
Narrower than the furniture beneath it, with the centre close to eye level.
A tall wall or stairwell
A portrait or vertical format carries height far better than a wide canvas.
Framing
A commission can arrive framed, or gallery-wrapped with finished edges and ready to hang.
Customisation is discussed individually and pricing can vary with size, materials and framing.

How does a commission work?
In five stages: you share photographs of the wall and what you have in mind; the size, proportion, palette and direction are agreed together; Sreeparna paints the work as a one-of-a-kind original; it is prepared for hanging, framed if you would like it framed; then packing and delivery are arranged for your location.
Can a painting from the collection be adapted instead?
Yes. Size and proportion, colour palette, artwork details and framing can all be changed while keeping the character of the original. Every painting page has a customisation section.
How do I enquire about a painting?
Each painting page has a WhatsApp button that opens a message naming that painting and linking to its page. Messages reach Sreeparna directly on +91 82403 43317.
Are prices shown on the site?
Originals and custom work are listed as Price on Request. Ask about the piece you have in mind on WhatsApp and you will get a price for that work, or for a commission in the size you need.
What kind of paintings does Sreeparna Poddar make?
The collection runs across portraits & figures, landscapes & seascapes, florals & still life, contemporary — 35 original works in total, on canvas and on paper, alongside custom commissions.
Where is Canvas Woman based?
Golf Course Road, Gurugram, Delhi NCR, India. Private Viewings by Appointment, and paintings have found homes across India, France, United Kingdom, Greece, Japan and United States.
Are these original paintings or prints?
Every work here is an original, painted by hand and one of one. There are no prints or reproductions, and a painting that has sold is not repeated — a new piece in a similar spirit can be commissioned instead.
Can I see a painting in person before deciding?
Private Viewings by Appointment at Gurugram, Delhi NCR, India. Message on WhatsApp to arrange a time, and Sreeparna will confirm which works are at the studio.
Do you ship outside India?
Yes. Paintings have gone to France, United Kingdom, Greece, Japan and the United States. Packing and delivery are arranged for your location and quoted with the piece.
Do paintings arrive ready to hang?
A work can arrive framed, or gallery-wrapped with finished edges and ready to hang as it is. Framing is chosen with you — floating, wood, gold, coloured or a clean gallery edge.
